The Story of the Clinic: Tina Southworth had the privilege of working in the business office for Dr. Ted Morter, Sr. who developed the Bio Energetic Synchronization Tecnique, his two sons and several other great chiropractors and awesome human beings and was able to see, first hand, the healing that could take place during chiropractic treatment. One of these patients' amazing recovery stories was experienced by her dad, Tommy Southworth. As a child, he had fallen off a cow that we was not supposed to be riding, and found out years later, that he had broken his back in that fall, and the x-ray showed that he had a lot of residual issues. Tina remembers her dad coming home after a long day of work and falling asleep as soon as he sat in the chair. Dealing with the pain was exhausting and he refused to take pain medication because he wondered that if he started, when would it end?
So when Tina realized that that he might find answers at the Morter Clinic, she suggested her dad try it. And it worked! After 60 years of pain, he was able to rate his pain level at a "0"! Her parents were able to enjoy their retirement, take weekend trips to Branson, and go to the VFW dances and play more of their own music. This was the moment Tina decided she wanted to go back to school to become a chiropractor so she could help people like her father had been helped! With the support of her parents and her 5 year old son, Jonathan Wes Caldwell, Tina returned to college for 8 years and graduated in 1999. When she began to look for place to practice on her own, she quickly found Stilwell. She says that the first thing she noticed about the town was that they have a parade for everything. The second thing she noticed was that when there was a need in the community, someone was sick, a family's had a house fire, there was an Indian taco sale or an auction to raise money to help. Neighbor's helping neighbors...that's something she wanted to be a part of! Late Night Chiropractic has been open in Stilwell since 2005.
